… And The Appointment I Plan To Keep In 2021

I’m often asked, “Art, what does a typical work day look like for you as an Internet entrepreneur?” Curious family members, old college buddies, our coaching students, colleagues from my mortgage company years want to know….

But what they’re really asking is “Can I do what you do and get the same results?”

So, for what it’s worth, here’s a day in the life of an Internet marketer who has come to really like this whole online business thing.

First of all, to shatter the whole “work-from-home” picture you might have in your mind, I don’t work from home. After getting up and going to the office every Monday through Friday for 25+ years, that’s one trick this old dog hasn’t learned yet.

The yellow legal pads? Another old habit. They might all look the same to you, but I can tell you exactly which ones hold the notes to every online course I ever took. Hey, I hate to type…and it works for me.

Having been the owner of my own business for most of my adult life, I still focus primarily on IPA’s (Income Producing Activities). Stuff that makes money!

1. I call every person who has gone through my lead pre-qualification system and is serious about starting an online business.

I probably spend up to two hours a day on the phone with new prospects which add up to anywhere from 3-5 good conversations a day. I’ve learned to keep the conversations short and to the point.

(If you have an effective funnel, by the time you actually talk to your prospects, it will have done it’s job. Plus, the best way to make people want to know more is to NOT have all the time in the world to talk…they perceive you as a successful leader whose time is valuable. Attraction marketing at its best!)

2. I try to make one significant improvement to my “marketing funnel” every week. This includes adding a post on my central hub blog (like this one), split testing a headline or offer on a lead capture site, editing existing autoresponder followup emails and writing broadcast emails for the various lists we have.

Cheryl is a tremendous help in this area so this is a collaborative effort. My contribution is about 5 hours a week. Hers? At least 10.

3. Lead generation is the life blood of any campaign so a good 2-4 hours a week is spent on traffic sources. This would include tweaking ppv campaigns, purchasing good quality leads, keyword research, building out campaigns on Bing and 7Search, postcard marketing.

4. Coaching and training my team is my single biggest time investment now and a real passion for Cheryl and myself. We have found that what we do give in time and training is given back to us ten-fold.

We come across so many marketers that have been abandoned by their sponsors so we gladly welcome them into our fold and make our team Internet training site and “Internet Training Roundtable” webinars available to anyone who has a desire to learn.

I probably spend 10 hours a week (about 2 hours a day) on private Internet marketing coaching. Another 2 hours a week goes to preparing our weekly webinar, and then the one hour for the actual webinar.

5. As the National Marketing Director for EcoEcoNow.org, I do 3-way calls for anyone that requests one which comes to about 5 hours a week.

So to tally that all up I spend about:

10 hours a week on #1
5 hours a week on #2
4 hours a week on #3
13 hours a week on #4
5 hours a week on #5

That all comes to 37 hours a week. A far cry from the 60+ I used to spend as an investment broker and mortgage company owner.

Is Internet marketing hard work? If you want to be successful in anything, it takes time and diligence.

There’s no secret, no magic bullet, no special formula.

What I can promise you is that if you follow exactly what I tell you to do and treat your business like a real business and not a hobby, you will be successful too.

Expect to always be learning and improving. Busy work is not the same as productive, strategic work. Most importantly, keep your focus on income producing activities and proper leverage of your time.

A perfect example of leverage is called content recycling. I’ll definitely take this blog post and write an email with a link to the post and also rewrite it to create an article that will get posted to a few high-traffic authority websites devoted to marketing. The blog post will get syndicated out on Twitter and Facebook automatically through my RSS feed.

I’m also going to shoot a 5 minute video called “The 5 Weekly Income-Producing Activities of a Strategic Internet Entrepreneur” and upload it to YouTube.

Now, is this what a typical week will look like in 5 years? My goal is to have my business running so effectively that instead of 37 hours a week, I’m looking at more like a 15 hour work week.

10 years from now? Unless it’s an appointment with Callaway, TaylorMade, or Titlelist, I’m callin’ in sick, baby!

Now that you know why I love the Internet so much, I’d love to hear your thoughts on your typical work day. Feel free to write your comments below.

Thanks!

Above The Fold – The section of a Web page that is visible without scrolling.

Ad Impression – A single instance of an online advertisement being displayed.

Ad Tracker – A computer software program that counts the number of times people click on a special link you create with the program. Some ad trackers can count the number of sales made as well as clicks. Tracking your ads is vital because you want to know where your traffic is coming from so that you can focus on which ad campaigns are working.

AdSense – Google’s advertising program for website owners (referred to as publishers by Google.) You earn a share of the revenue that Google earns from AdWords by displaying these same text ads on your site. In other words, you’re helping Google advertise and they pay you a percentage of what they earn.

AdWords – Google earns most of its revenue by allowing other website owners to advertise on their search result pages. Advertisers can bid on certain keywords and Google will display text ads on the search results page when people use that keyword to search.

Affiliate – Someone who recommends another’s product or service to a third person. If this person then buys the product or service, the affiliate receives a commission from the merchant.

Affiliate Link – A unique link (which includes the affiliate member’s ID) that serves two purposes: it directs a potential customer to a sales page of a product or service AND credits him with a commission should the visitor make a purchase by tracking the link back to him.

Alexa – One of the many smaller Internet search engines that provides valuable information about the traffic of websites and a website ranking list based on amount of traffic.

ALT Text – HTML attribute that provides alternative text when non-textual elements, typically images, cannot be displayed. ALT text can provide much-needed information for people who surf the Web with graphics are turned off or with text-only browsers. It also can assist in navigation when a graphics-intensive site is being viewed over a slow connection.

Anchor Text – The clickable text in a document which is linked to another page within the same or another website and directs you there if you click on it. Most often it is in different text color (usually blue) and underlined.

Autoresponder – A computer program that allows email to be sent to a list of subscribers on a scheduled basis. Email messages are written once and then automatically delivered to each person who subscribes to your list by entering their contact information in your site’s lead capture form.

Banner Ad – A form of graphical advertisement on a website most often in a standard size of 468 x 60 pixels that is meant to attract a visitor’s attention. A click on the Banner directs the visitor to the website of the advertiser.

Blog – An abbreviation for Weblog. Blogs are websites or pages within a website which, like diaries, are regularly updated with fresh content . Today, blogs have become more of a central business hub where website owners sell products, offer opinions on relevant topics, and syndicate their content using blogging software and services.

CAN SPAM – A law enacted in 2004 to help curb the amount of pornographic email and unsolicited commercial email being sent.

Character Spacing – The number of letters and numbers making up one line of information. Narrow character spacing allows for more characters in one line of content; whereas, wide character spacing lessons the number of characters making up a line of content.

Classified Ad – A small text ad, usually appearing in an ezine. Classified ads are generally three to five lines deep by 65 characters wide.

Content – What you can see when you load a website in your Internet browser and what makes you either stay on the website or leave right away, depending on whether it is relevant to what you were looking for, informative, and useful. Content may consist of text, graphics, audio, and video.

Conversion Rate (CR) – Generally understood to be the percentage of people who come to your site and take the action your site asks them to take. For example, if 4 out of every 100 new visitors buys something, your conversion rate for sales is 4%. Understanding this percentage is important because it tells you if your site is causing people to take the action you want them to take, be that subscribing to a newsletter, filling out a survey, or buying something today.

Copywriting – The process of writing the words for a web page. Salesmanship in print, effective copywriting uses words as triggers to persuade people to take action.

Co-Registration – This is where a company helps you build your mailing list by getting their visitors to register for your mailing list. Some companies do this for a living and you pay them by the subscriber, usually anywhere from 15 cents to $1.50 per subscriber.

CPA (Cost Per Action) – Arrangements where the advertiser pays the publisher only when a particular action (typically filling in a form or taking a free trial offer) occurs.

CPC (Cost Per Click) – The price an advertiser has to pay to the ad publisher for one click on his ad. Generally the maximum click price for a certain keyword is determined by the advertising service (like Google AdWords and AdSense) when the PPC campaign is setup.

CPM – Stands for cost per one thousand impressions (see Ad Impression.) CPM is a way of pricing ads where the advertiser pays a fixed amount when a website is visited 1000 times with the ad displayed irregardless if the ad was clicked on or not. A common way to buy advertising offline, CPM pricing is not widely used online, but is an excellent way to compare costs between different advertising mediums.

CTR (Click Through Rate) – CTR is the number of people who click on your pay per click ad compared to the number of people who view the ad. For example: If 100 people see your ad and 15 click the ad, your CTR is 15%.

Display URL – A pay per click term meaning the web address (URL) you want people to see when they see your ad. In most cases it can be different from the Target URL, which allows you to use an ad tracker without people seeing the long ad tracker link.

Directory – A categorized list of information. A web directory is an organized, categorized listings of web sites. Yahoo is a directory where Google is a search engine.

Domain Name – a unique address that can be used on the Internet. It’s what you see in the address bar after the “www.” in your web browser and it’s what comes after the @ sign in an email address.

Double Opt-In – The process of having subscribers confirm their desire to receive your information by clicking on a confirmation link sent to them via email. This second step ensures that the person verifying their subscription made the original request.

Downline – A term that describes the group of people in an MLM who have joined that program under a specific sponsor.

All others will be discounted.

Ebook – An electronic book, suitable for reading on a computer monitor. Most eBooks today are created in PDF format, which can be viewed by any computer, or (in most cases) printed.

Editor – A person who contributes content to an online publication or webpage. Unlike a webmaster, an editor is usually responsible for only certain pages on a website and can generally only add or edit contributions they make to the site.

Email Marketing – Distributing one’s marketing message via electronic mail. The advertiser pushes the message to its public as opposed to a website that waits for customers to come in.

Ezine (Electronic Magazine) – Much like an offline newsletter, ezines exist primarily to deliver information to their readers. They offset the costs of publishing by selling advertising. Like their offline counterparts, ezine publishers usually don’t write the articles included in their ezine but instead use the articles of others to create their ezine content.

Ezine Advertising – Placing an ad in the paid advertising sections of online newsletters or ezine publications. These ads can be solo ads, sponsor ads, classified ads, or free ads.

Favicon – A small icon that is used by some browsers to identify a bookmarked Web site.

Follow Up Series – A series of email/autoresponder messages delivered over time to prospective customers who have requested further information by leaving their contact information in a website’s opt-in form.

FTP (File Transfer Protocol) – A computer program that allows transfer of files from your personal computer to a web server. Using FTP is the most common way to transfer web pages to a web server when you create a web site. Transferring files is accomplished using a program called an FTP program.

Forum – An online gathering of people with a common interest. Forums are run using a forum script (software) that allows the moderator to approve messages to display as well as displaying messages in subject order.

Headline – The line which typically appears at the top of each page or in an ad and is supposed to tell the visitor in one short phrase what he will find on the page or when he clicks on the ad. The headline is usually bigger than the rest of the text and in bold font. Often it is in a different color, too.

HTML (HyperText Markup Language) -The code that causes web pages to display text and pictures.

Hyperlink – The same as a link, it is the part of a web document – most often a few words of text (although graphics can also contain a link) – which when clicked links to another document.

JV (Joint Venture) – An agreement between two or more businesses/corporate bodies to mutually undertake a business project to the benefit of both parties. The most common type of joint venture is an agreement between a person who owns a mailing list and a person who wants to promote a product where the list owner mails an ad for the product and earns a percentage of all sales.

Landing Page – A single web page that appears in response to clicking on an advertisement. The general goal of a landing page is to convert site visitors into sales leads and eventually a buying customer.

Lead Capture Page – A web page (often called a squeeze page) with the purpose of acquiring the name and email address of the visitor. Mostly this is done by offering something for free which has a high perceived value and relevancy in exchange for the visitor filling out the opt-in form on the page. By submitting his data (opting-in) the visitor agrees to receive mailings from the person offering the free gift and thereby becomes a lead .

Lead Generation – The process of getting people to ask for more information about a particular product. The purpose is to generate a database (as large as possible) of targeted potential customers who can then be marketed to with promotional emails, phone calls, or other forms of advertising.

Link Cloaking – Disguising a link using a web service like tinyurl so that it doesn’t display the actual URL to which the visitor is sent when he clicks on the link. Cloaked links are often shorter, and offer a measure of security when applied to affiliate links.

Moderator – The person who controls which messages are displayed on a forum. The moderator is usually an expert in the subject of the forum he or she moderates, and helps keep inappropriate postings off the list of messages forum members see. Inappropriate messages are usually messages that contain foul language, hate, or blatant advertising.

MP3 – A type of audio file that can be heard on personal computers or MP3 players. Most teleseminars are recorded in MP3 format for later listening. Additionally, an MP4 file can store video as well as audio.

Network Marketing (MLM) – A type of business that pays commissions to people based on the sales of other people that they recruit. The person who recruits others is called the upline, while the person who was recruited is called the downline.

Newsletter – An informative letter which is mailed to a mailing list of subscribers, either in print form or via email.

Niche Marketing – Selling products and services to a group of people with a common interest. Although the name “niche marketing” is heard often these days, marketers have always focused on “niches” in order to make sales.

Opt-In – The process of a website visitor requesting more information. The reader is opting to be included on a mailing list, hence opt-in. All legitimate email marketers use an opt-in process to ensure that their selling messages go only to people who want to receive them.

Opt-Out – The process of sending email to people and telling them they must ask to be taken off the list in order to stop receiving email. Opt-out is a bad marketing technique and most often associated with spammers.

Outsourcing – Hiring someone for an agreed compensation amount to complete a task that in the best interest of your business is best done by someone other than yourself.

PageRank™ – A factor which Google uses to measure the relative importance of a website (a figure between 0 and 10 where 0 means least important and 10 means most important.) It is calculated by analyzing the link structure of a website according to Google’s unique and patented algorithm. This algorithm considers each link pointing to a page as a vote for the page. To calculate PageRank™ not only the number of votes count but also the importance/authority of the voting site.

PPC (Pay Per Click Advertising) – A type of advertising in which the advertiser pays only when someone clicks on his or her ad. Google AdWords and Overture are the best examples of pay-per-click advertising, although some social media platforms are jumping on the band wagon and offering PPC to advertisers as well.

PDF (Portable Document Format) – A trademark of the Adobe Company, PDF files can be read by any computer that has the free Adobe PDF reader.

PLR (Private Label Rights) – The license used for various digital products such as articles, ebooks, software, and graphics and permits buyers to re-brand the content under their own name and brand under the guidelines set by the original owner. So if you buy an ebook written by “John Doe” with Private Label Rights, you have the right to change its content however you please and sell it under your name as author.

Redirect – A user is not routed to the exact URL he typed into his browser address bar or clicked on, but is automatically directed to another URL.

ROI (Return On Investment) – A percentage figure which tells you how much profit you made compared to the money invested.

RSS (Really Simple Syndication) – One format that websites use to syndicate content. To see content that is syndicated you need a special program (called an aggregator) or you can view it on certain websites designed for this purpose.

Sales Letter – Often referred to as a sales page, a one-page website designed to persuade the visitor to buy the promoted product right away.

Script – A set of commands that cause a computer to act in a particular way. There are many scripting languages (such as PERL and PHP), and these languages are the “code” that programmers use to create programs.

Search Engine – A site that finds other sites or files based on keywords. Google is a search engine where Yahoo is a directory.

SEO (Search Engine Optimization) – The process of creating or modifying your webpage so that it is more attractive to search engines. When a webpage is properly optimized it is shown more often and in a higher ranking on the search engine results page.

On-page SEO has to do with the factors on and within the website and is mostly about the intelligent use of keywords in the content and in the tags to tell the search engine spiders what the site is all about.

Off-page SEO is about factors influencing search engine rankings from outside a website most notably the quality of the inbound links coming from other sites linking to the site to be optimized.

Shopping Cart – A service that allows website owners to have autoresponders, create order forms, create a catalog of products, manage client lists, deliver digital products, run an affiliate program, and more – all from one site or using one piece of software.

Site Map – A special page within a website which lists each individual page and document within the entire site (if not too extensive) including the internal linking structure. A well designed site map contributes to a fast and full indexing of the whole site by search engine spiders.

Social Bookmarking – Tagging a website and saving it for later. Instead of saving them to your web browser, you are saving them to the web. And because your bookmarks are online, you can easily share them with friends.

Solo Ad – An ad that is mailed to a list of ezine subscribers on its own. Since no other ads are included in the email sent to subscribers, the ad can be said to be running “solo”.

Split Test – The process of sending visitors to different sales pages in order to test the effectiveness of those sales pages. Often called A/B split testing, a program sends visitors to alternative sales letters randomly even though they clicked the same link.

Sponsor Ad – An ezine ad that is larger than a classified but smaller than a solo. Sponsor ads are generally 10 to 20 lines deep by 65 characters wide and appear at the top of the ezine. They can also appear in the middle of the ezine (middle sponsor) or the bottom of the ezine (bottom sponsor). The prices of these ads vary, with top sponsor ads costing the most and bottom sponsor ads the least.

Subscriber – A person person who voluntarily gave his permission to be included on a Internet marketer’s mailing list by entering his contact information in a form.

Syndication – The process of displaying content from one site on another site. This is usually accomplished by adding several lines of JavaScript to the HTML code of the web page where the content is to be displayed.

Target Marketing – The process of selling goods and services to a group of people who have a common interest. This term is identical to niche marketing.

Testing Ads – The process of running one ad multiple times and changing one element of the ad (such as the headline) each time. The goal of testing is to discover which combination of ad elements (headline, body copy, call to action) work best with each other.

Tracking Ads – The process of putting a tracking link in your ad. A tracking link is one that, when clicked, will record the click and redirect the reader to the site you want them to see.

Target URL – Also called the destination URL, it is a term meaning the website where people will go when they click on your ad.

Teleseminar – A phone call where many people can listen to experts discuss a particular topic. Teleseminar calls are often recorded and provided to customers in MP3 format for later listening.

Thank You Page – The page a customer is sent to upon successful payment for a product. The thank you page is often where links are provided to download the product purchased.

Upload – The process of transferring a file from a local computer to a web server. Uploading is most often done using software and a process called FTP.

URL – Location of a resource on the Internet. It includes the protocol (ex. http), the domain name (or IP address), and additional path information (folder/file). An example would be http://internettraininga-z.com/coaching

USP (Unique Selling Proposition) – That special something that makes your product /service stand out compared to your competitors’ product and lets it appear superior.

Verified Opt-In – See Double Opti-In listed above.

Web Host – A company that rents space on a web server to customers who want to have a web page. Hostgator is an example.

Webmaster – The person who runs a website from a technical standpoint. The webmaster is usually the person who creates and uploads the webpages to the web server and maintains control over the entire site.

WYSIWYG – Stands for What You See Is What You Get and means that the page that is printed or displayed will look identical to the one that is composed.

I mean, I was doing everything right. Exactly like the “gurus” told me.

I was…

… reading the recommended books like Action Selling and The Ultimate Sales Letter.

… forcing myself to check my emails only twice a day.

… tweeting, posting Facebook updates religiously.

… submitting articles, press releases.

… shooting daily 90 second videos and uploading them to youtube.

… creating new landing pages with videos of me and opt in boxes with arrows.

… emailing my list with affiliate products.

… attending seminars and buying the “fail-proof” products that the presenters were hawking.

If I wasn’t so darn stubborn, I’d have tossed in the towel. Call me stupid, but it’s just not in my nature to lose. I’d been successful in two different careers. So what was I doing wrong?

Call it my ‘aha moment’ or just call it “using my brain” but the light suddenly dawned. What if I were to run my internet business like I did my two other businesses? I immediately made some key changes.

#1 I wrote out a projected business plan: where I wanted to be in 3 months, 6 months, a year, 5 years. If you don’t know where you’re going, how in heck are you ever going to get there?

#2 I set a budget for marketing, educational resources, outsourcing. And I kept track of our expenses. No more buying every new gadget and “no-fail” course that came out and then two months later forgetting that I even bought it.

#3 I added tracking onto every online and offline campaign that I ran. I NEVER would have run an add campaign for my mortgage company without being able to track its results!

#4 I evaluated the results, and if they didn’t prove profitable, I’d tweak one variable at a time and retest. Wash…rinse…repeat until I got the ROI (return on investment) I wanted.

#5 I picked up the phone and talked to people. Yeah, the Internet is a fantastic sphere to gather tons of leads, but in the end people didn’t buy my product because of the fantastic benefits. They bought me.

They trusted me to lead them where they wanted to be. I spent my days exactly like I did in my previous careers in the investment and mortgage industries…listening to their fears and concers. Building relationships.

Going back to my roots and becoming once again the strategic entrepreneur that I had been was the turning point. Passing up every opportunity that came along and staying focused on my primary business kept me on track.

So what can you take from all this? In a nutshell – work smarter not harder. Doing more is not necessarily better. Religiously listing more tasks on your to-do list just for the insane satisfaction of checking them all off just won’t neccesarily make your business profitable.

Having a strategy means figuring out the least amount you have to do to be successful.

Write down your fiscal goals for your home business. Then keep breaking it down to how much you need to earn each week to make those goals and determine what needs to happen to make that happen.

I found that if I had five productive conversations a day, that was ultimately what I needed to get the results I needed to meet my goals.

I’d love to hear your comments!

We all face challenges…business slumps, personal heartbreaks, physical illness, family crises. And for many people, they often happen or are magnified during the holiday season.

Perry Marshall, Google Adwords expert, tells of a close friend’s relative who at 39 and with small children was going through yet a second surgery for a brain tumor. Her husband arranged the surprise of a lifetime for their 17th anniversary when he convinced Huntley Brown, an amazing concert pianist, to “play” along and help bring his surprise to life.

As they were eating dinner that the husband had especially prepared for his wife, they enjoyed listening to a CD of Huntley Brown’s music…although it wasn’t a CD. As he led his weakened wife into the living room, there was Huntley sitting at their piano playing live just for her.

The gift of music gave both husband and wife the lift they needed in the face of what was not a very fun holiday. Kudos for her husband for giving her an anniversary that she’ll never forget and hope for them both in the face of a very glum situation.

Whatever challenges you are facing at the end of 2010, know that there is hope. There will always be days when we are down, but we don’t have to give in to discouragement and disappointment.

Fight for the life you desire…

Let go of everything holding you back from future blessings…

Laugh when you feel like crying…

Dream Big!!

Enjoy Huntley Brown’s magnificent rendition of “Crown Him With Many Crowns” and have a Prosperous and Joyful New Year!

Best Wishes,

When I was a young stockbroker, I studied all of Tony Robbins motivational tapes. His leadership style and his upbeat, positive outlook on life and business have always impressed me.

So when he posted a two-part “Economic Warning” on YouTube, I figured something must be up.

And regardless of whether or not you’re a Tony Robbins fan, what he has to say is something you need to hear.

He has worked with some of the most brilliant minds in the financial world. He’s not a financial planner nor is he trying to sell anything…he just wants people to be informed so that they can make their own decisions.

Most of us have seen our income level drop dramatically in the past few years, and we just can’t ignore what we’re dealing with and stick our heads in the sand hoping things will get better.

Here’s one statement he made: “The baby boomer generation is like a pig going through a snake.”

What’s he trying to say?

Take 25 minutes to watch the two videos below and listen to what Tony is warning you and me. Watch them NOW…

Part 1:

Part 2:

Pretty fascinating stuff, huh? If you want a former investment and mortgage broker’s 2 cents, buy silver and gold…

All the best,

To make all your efforts worthwhile, you need another key element, and that is focus.

Lose By an Inch or Win By a Mile

Sometimes the chance for success or failure to become a serious entrepreneur passes by quicker than the blink of an eye. It could be that one inquiry that you chose not to answer, or one customer whom you did not take the time to build a relationship with. There are even times that you may actually be turning away an opportunity…that could turn your life around for what seemed like a better deal at that time.

There is a saying that opportunity knocks only once, but in some cases, it just stands by the door without even knocking. If you’re going to give being a business owner a shot, you might as well put your back into it and give it all you’ve got.

Second Nature

It’s really not that hard to give the extra effort, if you have the right mindset, and that is the mindset of a serious entrepreneur. Here are a few things that you should always keep in mind:

Treat all your customers or clients well. It does not matter whether they are buying thousands of dollars worth of products, or just a single item. Value their input, and treat one as well as the other. While it is a good practice to be reasonable, there are times that you have to stand your ground, and if you are able to do this with tact and grace, you will realize that there is almost always a way to compromise.

Always see the big picture. The common problem with new business owners is that they dwell too much on one detail (commonly making profits) and miss the part of how each little thing is related to the other. The sum of the business will always be worth more than its parts, and this is something that a serious entrepreneur should always keep in mind.

Play right and play fair. Don’t be the rotten apple that ruins the whole barrel. There is a difference between making money and wanting everything for yourself. In the end, you will be doing a disservice to yourself and the entire industry.

In all of these acts, the important thing is that you are sincere and that you have genuine concern for your clients, as well as the industry in general. The bottom line is not just about dollars and cents because businesses do not run on money alone.

Take a look at this video to see how you can apply the principal to your entrepreneur mindset:

You can be a serious entrepreneur if you focus, have the stamina, and are willing to make the necessary moves to succeed. It is not necessarily about the amount of work that you have done, either; it is about the effect of that effort towards achieving your goals.

Make Your Efforts Count

If you are starting to feel like you are running around in circles but getting nothing done, it may be because you are. It’s time to get off that hamster wheel and start moving with real direction to get the results you need from all your work and be the serious entrepreneur that you can be.

Here are a few ways to help you realize your dreams:

Stop everything that you are doing and evaluate them in terms of effectiveness and results.

Work with what you have. Remember that only a bad worker blames his tools.

Be ready to take some hits. Things will not always work as planned, and you can’t always be ready with contingencies.

Ask for help if you need it. Take it if it is being offered.

These are the things that will help you trim down your workload and help you concentrate your efforts towards work that will end in good results and make the world take you seriously as a serious entrepreneur.

Stick to the Plan

You can compromise on your plan of action and adjust your moves to the demands of the market, but NEVER compromise your goals. Doing that would be like changing directions mid-flight; and if you make the wrong turn, you could end up crashing. If you want to achieve something, you must always keep that goal in sight.

Having a plan means you can minimize your risks, although it will be impossible to get rid of them altogether. That is why you have to learn to roll with the punches and learn from your mistakes. Accept the fact, too, that you will be making some mistakes…you just don’t want to make too many of them. Never act rashly or impulsively; costly mistakes are hard to correct, and it will make you look unprofessional.

Know What Your “Why” Is

If you are starting to doubt if your plans are working, remind yourself often why you are doing this and see how your current plans will bring you closer to your goals. Always set your compass as if the magnet is your goal and you are heading north.

This is the path to your future as a serious entrepreneur, and you should not shy away from it.

Well, if you’re finding that you’re feeling overwhelmed with all that you have to do to be successful in internet marketing, the problem may be that you’re trying to do everything yourself.

To make matters worse, you’re asking yourself, “Why am I working so hard and not making any money?”

How do you think the big-wig gurus are doing it? Well, let me tell you right now they are not sitting behind the computer screen for 18+ hours slaving over all the tasks that are needed to make an online business successful.

So what’s their secret?

They know that to scale their Internet Marketing business to a profitable level, they will have to outsource at some point. Rather than lose focus by tending to the time-consuming, tedious things (which cannot be ignored), they train people to become proficient in these areas.

As a result, top earning marketers get to keep their minds on the big picture. Outsourcing is not a crutch that you can do without, but rather, a helping hand when you need it most.

Do what you do best and outsource the rest!

My business started to take off when we did two things: focus on what I did best and hire the most competent people I could afford to do everything else.

Realistically speaking, this is not a possibility for most newbies. My advice is NOT to outsource until you at least know how to do everything yourself; otherwise you won’t be able to teach someone to handle the tasks you don’t want or need to do, and you won’t know if they’re doing it correctly.

As your online business takes off, take a portion of your earnings and invest it in people…talk about great ROI (return on investment)!! Our economy may be in the toilet right now, but investing in people to help grow your business is the best place to put your money right now.

My good friend and mentor Howie Schwartz often says that his greatest strength is outsourcing: he surrounds himself with the best in the world…the best copywriters, the best web designers, the best coders and programmers – and then the best project managers to manage everything. That leaves him to envision his next project and set the wheels in motion to make it all happen.

Most are not financially able to scale their efforts on that level, but you can start small…I always say, “Why spend a whole week tending to a $20 problem?” Decide today that you’re going to give up control on ONE task, however minor it may be, and let an expert handle it.

I know if you are reading this right now, it’s because you want more out of life…spending more time with family, being able to experience all those things you’ve put on hold for that elusive “someday”.

You may have tried your hand at network marketing and failed…maybe more than once…but you’re not ready to jump ship yet.

If someone was finally willing to teach you HOW to achieve online success, would you be interested?

Mark Cuban, American billionaire entrepreneur, said regarding failure:

It doesn’t matter how many times you fail. It doesn’t matter how many times you almost get it right. No one is going to know or care about your failures, and neither should you. All you have to do is learn from them and those around you because… All that matters in business is that you get it right once. Then everyone can tell you how lucky you are.

The key concept here is LEARN. Interestingly enough, marketing guru Philip Kotler said that “marketing takes a day to learn but unfortunately a lifetime to master.”

Network marketing is an often misunderstood business, and what I teach my team is that one of the primary differences between the top income earners and those who fail in network marketing is the ability to answer the most common questions consistently asked by potential prospects.

If you were never taught how to answer a few basic questions, I’m going to teach you how to address the top three information gathering questions usually asked by applicants.

Most people when facing new situations are afraid of failing. If you learn how to effectively answer the most commonly asked questions, you will succeed in business.

Here are the TOP 3…

1. Can people really make money at network marketing?

ANSWER: Yes, but the only people who do are those who treat this like a business and work at it every day. Our company provides excellent training, and I will be there to help you succeed; but ultimately the success or failure of your business is up to you. So, are you ready to start making money?

2. How much time will this require?

ANSWER: That will depend upon your goals. If you would like to make a few dollars a month, you could probably invest five hours a week or less. However, if you want to develop a full time income, so that you can fire your boss and enjoy more time freedom, then you will need to invest at least 15 hours a week. The great part is that we have tools that will help you leverage that time. Let’s take a look at those tools and then your schedule to see if this is going to work for you.

3. Does this require sales?

ANSWER: This one is a bit tricky. First I will ask: “Do you enjoy sales?” If they say “no” then I respond, “That’s great because you don’t have to be salesperson in order to succeed. This is a business of sharing information, and we have great tools that will present the products/services and business to your candidates. All you do is work with those who are interested.”

Now, if they say that they like sales, I say, “That’s great. People who are good at sales often do very well in this business.”

Successful Network Marketing isn’t some secret that only a few select individuals are privy to. Never lose sight of this fact: you’re dealing with people, real people. Listen to them; build a rapport with them; answer all their questions and gain their trust.

I’ll let you in on the SECRET that dramatically changed the way I look at life and approach my marketing business.

You can absolutely achieve your goals and your dreams – and do it faster than you can imagine.

IS THERE A CATCH?

Yea…usually is. You have to be willing to put to practice what I teach you. And you have to be willing to work your tail off. Still with me?

Like most of you trying to break into the network marketing/direct sales industry, I went the traditional MLM route, did enough cold calling to last me a life-time, became part of the NFL (No Friends Left) Club, and spent more money chasing leads than I did on my first year of college tuition.

Ring a bell?

JUST GIVE ME THE BOTTOM LINE!!

I quickly realized this was NOT the way I wanted to spend the next 20 years of my life. I already had had successful careers as an investment broker and owner of a mortgage business…then the economy went into a tailspin and I found myself, like many of you, looking online for a way to supplement my income.

Although the MLM business I got involved with had a great product, I realized that I had to find a marketing system as well as some hard core training that would enable me to be “the pursued” and not the “pursuer”…and FAST.

Well, that system is here! When this business model was created, we weren’t even thinking of offering this to the entire industry…it was primarily to use ourselves.

But then we remembered those who had taken the time to mentor and train us. And we wanted to offer struggling entrepreneurs superb training in using a cutting edge system that will generate and funnel free leads…creating multiple streams of income…using “attraction marketing.”

When you do this business right, you don’t have to ask people to join your business…They ask you!

Your product, company, and comp plan are MEANINGLESS until you find a way to attract customers. ** The money is NOT in the product. It is in your ability to MOVE (market) that product.

To learn more about the system that has exploded the network marketing industry and how you can create unlimited income, click on the link below:

I WANT TO DOMINATE!!

I personally will train you in how to create the mind set as well as how to utilize the techniques that will literally cause others to SEEK you and your business opportunities and create unlimited income for you and your family.

Dedicated to Your Success,
